“Design is the method of putting form and content together; Design, just as art, has multiple definitions; there is no single definition. Design can be art; Design can be aesthetics; Design is so simple, that’s why it is so complicated.” - Paul rand
about me
As a recent college graduate, avid traveler, fine art enthusiast, and occasional photographer, design to me begins with the willingness to create.
My story began with pencils and crayons sprawled across my dining room table. I was always drawn to the process of making something. As I matured,
I loved the idea of creating with intent. This curiosity led me to the University
of Cincinnati’s Design, Architecture, Art & Planning school, where I pursued my bachelor’s degree in Communication Design. Throughout my higher education career, I completed five cooperative education experiences, freelanced in photography and animation, volunteered, and grew as both a person and
a designer.
Three days after graduation, I packed my bags and moved 4,000 miles away from home to take a job in marketing and sales—with a touch of design—for a travel agency in Florence, Italy. There, I gained cultural perspective, patience, understanding, and strength.
My childhood, my education, and my experiences have shaped me into the woman and designer I am today: passionate, driven, efficient, precise, and motivated. But most important of all, I am a designer who cares. I care about people, the world around me, and how it all intertwines with the work I do daily.
I am searching for an opportunity that aligns with my passion and creativity, but that will also continue to teach me, shape me, and help me reach my full potential. I know I will be an asset and support any company in achieving its goals.
