hollow intentions
why?
A great title sequence sets the tone, offers a glimpse of what’s to come, and draws the viewer into the world they’re about to experience. Without giving too much away, it builds anticipation and intrigue, allowing the audience to feel both informed and excited. For this particular sequence, I drew inspiration from Catch Me If You Can and Only Murders in the Building, embracing themes of mystery, implication, and discovery.
what.
Strong & independent, Deliah faces life alone - but not by choice. She fears companionship. When she does encounter a man, disaster strikes. Every. Single. Time. Is it a coincidence? Is it bad luck? Is it childhood trauma lingering?
This unfortunate loop prevents her from experiencing true connection. She can’t seem to escape this never-ending cycle of terror and disappointment, leaving her tired, alone, and confused.
how.
Hollow Intentions is a title sequence that features subtle, deliberate motion that emphasizes the power of its illustrative elements. The shifting colors and movements mirror the changing moods, while the typography seamlessly integrates into transitions between scenes.
